PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new versatile method for easily producing a macromolecule crystal in high reproducibility while solving the defects of conventional crystal production methods (crystallization methods), and provide an apparatus for the production of the crystal and a macromolecule crystal produced by the method. SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for producing a macromolecule crystal comprising a step to effect the nucleation and/or crystal growth of the macromolecule crystal by the irradiation of a solution containing the macromolecule and a non-electrolytic polymer with ultraviolet rays, and a method for producing a macromolecule crystal comprising a step to effect the nucleation and/or crystal growth of the macromolecule crystal by the irradiation of a solution of the macromolecule with visible light having intensity enabling the multiphoton excitation of the molecule.
