METHOD FOR PRODUCING FATTY ACID ALKYL ESTER AND/OR GLYCEROL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a fatty acid alkyl ester and/or glycerol wherein the fatty acid monoglyceride content is sufficiently reduced or removed can efficiently, simply and inexpensively be produced. SOLUTION: The method for producing the fatty acid alkyl ester and/or glycerol is provided. The method for production comprises an alcoholysis step of reacting oils and fats with an alcohol and a step of reducing the monoglyceride content in a reaction liquid obtained in the alcoholysis step. The step of reducing the monoglyceride content is a step of reacting the monoglyceride in the reaction liquid obtained in the alcoholysis step with the oils and fats. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
