Adjustable spiral sleeve for protecting lines

The present invention relates to an adjustable spiral sleeve for wrapping around lines for protecting and regrouping them. The inventive sleeve includes a support strip for extending longitudinally alongside the lines, said support strip including a plurality of connectors longitudinally distributed and spaced-apart therealong. The sleeve also includes a wrapping strip spirally wrappable around the lines and connectable to the connectors of the support strip at adjustable positions along said wrapping strip to form a plurality of adjustably-sized loop portions of said wrapping strip around the lines. The sleeve enables adjustable fitting around lines. The invention also relates to a method of installing such a sleeve. The invention is especially useful in protecting hydraulic lines in dynamic machinery such as used in the forestry industry and/or mining industry.
