The invention relates to steering devices and operating methods for them. According to a first aspect, an electrically adjustable steering column is provided, having a steering-column adjustment drive for adjusting the reach and rake of a steering column, configured in such a way that the entire drive is accommodated in one line on one side. Furthermore, an operating method for an electrically adjustable steering column is proposed, wherein an electrically adjustable steering column is provided with a steering-column adjustment drive of this type. According to a second aspect, a steering system is provided having a steering column with a stationary centre, configured in such a way that the stationary centre is alternately held firmly or released. According to a third aspect, a steering system is provided having a steering column with a stationary centre, configured in such a way that the arrangement runs through the centre of the steering system. According to a fourth aspect, a steering column is provided having a steering-column adjustment means with a slotted guide, which permits a comfort adjustment of the reach and the rake. According to a fifth aspect, a steering column is provided having a load absorption means in the event of a crash by means of two deformable metal sheets on both sides of the stationary steering column tube. |
