PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the stability in a method for detecting/controlling constriction in consumable electrode arc welding where the constriction of a droplet is detected, and welding current Iw is rapidly reduced, so as to improve welding quality.
SOLUTION: In the method for detecting/controlling the constriction in consumable electrode arc welding where the constrictive phenomenon of a droplet as a sign phenomenon of regeneration of an arc from a short-circuit state Ts is detected by the fact that the differential value Dv of the voltage value Vw or resistance value between a consumable electrode and a base metal reaches a predetermined constriction detection standard value Vtn, and, upon the detection of the constrictive phenomenon, output is controlled so that welding current Iw for energizing the short circuit load is rapidly reduced into a low current value Im and, upon the regeneration of the arc, the welding current Iw is increased, the arc regeneration is discriminated by the fact that the differential value Dv reaches an arc regeneration standard value Vta predetermined to a value higher than the above constriction detection standard value Vtn.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
