<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element having high directivity and high transmissivity by reducing moire, to provide a display device excellent in display quality with the optical element built-in, and provide a terminal device comprising the display device. <P>SOLUTION: In a display panel of the display device, a plurality of pixels 71 are periodically arranged in the directions of x-axis and y-axis, and since pixel is shaded except an aperture part, the display panel has a two-dimensional grid structure. The pixel is rectangular, and the x-directional side length Px is longer than the y-directional side length Py. On the display panel, a louver 112 formed by periodically arranging a transparent area 112a and an opaque area 112b in the one-dimensional direction is disposed, and an angle formed between the one-dimensional periodic direction and the x-axis is made to 45 degrees or less, preferably, 10 degrees or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
