END SURFACE HEATING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HONEYCOMB AGGREGATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end surface heating apparatus capable of drying a sealing material paste layer near an end surface of a honeycomb aggregate without giving rise to a surface sink of the sealing material paste layer by heat-drying while pressing a heating appliance to the end surface of the honeycomb aggregate.

SOLUTION: The heating apparatus is equipped with: a heating appliance where a plurality of columnar honeycomb fired bodies are arranged nearly in parallel with the end surface of the honeycomb aggregate integrately formed through the sealing material paste layer formed on its end surface; a heating appliance moving device for moving the heating appliance to the honeycomb aggregate; and a holding fixture for holding the honeycomb aggregate.
