<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein unlimited increase of the number of GOPs deteriorates encoding efficiency, and existence of a very short GOP means a narrow interval of an I picture of a large amount of encoding. <P>SOLUTION: An MPEG encoder controller 23, when processing for changing the length of the GOP is conducted, makes a bit distribution calculation part 22 execute bit amount distributed to each encoded image, after adjusting the interval that is adjacent to other GOP within the range of the predetermined number of the encoded images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
