<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for image sources for direct printing which reliably operates with a single task OS. <P>SOLUTION: A PictBridge driver 51 notifies, when receiving a request for initialization from an AP 53 (S11), the AP 53 that the request for initialization is received (S12); executes PTP initialization (S21); receives and stores a Capability for a printer 3 in a storage unit 55 after the PTP initialization is completed (S27-S29); refers to the storage unit 55 (S14) when receiving an instruction for receiving the Capability for the printer 3 from the AP 53 (S13); and returns an information item associated with the instruction for receiving the Capability to the AP 53 (S15). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
