<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam welding method by which degradation in the welding quality of a steel plate attributable to a coating layer can be suppressed by a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: In the laser beam welding method, a butted part 3a of galvanized steel plates 3, 3 is welded while scanning laser beams L emitted from a laser apparatus 7. An irradiation spot area F of the laser beams L on the surface of the steel plates 3, 3 has a welding area F1 having the output density enabling the steel plates 3, 3 to be welded, and a non-welding area F2 which is formed on the downstream side of the welding area F1 on the scanning line D of the laser beams L, and evaporates a galvanized layer and has the output density lower than that of the welding area F1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
