PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of grasping various states associated with a photographing object and deepening the memory and emotion in photographing. SOLUTION: The image display device 1 reads an image 10 taken by a digital camera mounted with a GPS from a medium and generates an image of character information 14 comprising data of a date and time, a weather, an atmospheric temperature, and a festival this day obtained by accessing a positional information portal of a network on the basis of positional information of Exif information in the image 10. Further, the image display device 1 generates a virtual night scene image 16 of the image 10 on the basis of time information "18:56" acquired furthermore. The image of the character information 14 and the virtual night scene image 16 may be fitted to the image 10 and displayed, or the character information 14 and the image 10 are fitted to the virtual night scene image 16 and displayed, or the character information 14 is fitted only to the virtual night scene image 16 and displayed.
