PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which detects variations in temperature affects the sensitivity of a tracking actuator and controls a tracking actuator with high precision even if the side having no track-information of an optical disk is scanned, and also provide an actuator-controlling method thereof. SOLUTION: The optical disk device is provided with; a tracking actuator 18a which drives the objective lens of a pickup, which radiates laser light, based on driving signals; a detection means which detects or estimates variations in temperature which affects the sensitivity of the tracking actuator 18a; and a correction means which corrects the driving signals based on the information which is detected or estimated by the detection means.
