PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge which always keeps a magnetic tape in an appropriate state by dissolving damage of a tape edge due to that the vicinity of the latter half outer edge of a tape winding layer conflicts to a case wall when drop impact is caused in a state in which the upper side and the lower side are reversed. SOLUTION: A pair of left and right hubs 3 winding the magnetic tape 2 and hub-lock structure are provided inside a main body case 1. The hub-lock structure is arranged on the inner plane first half side of an upper case 1a of the main body case 1. A regulation body 33 regulating tilt of the tape winding layer 2a is formed in an expanded state at an inner plane latter half side of the upper case 1a. The regulating body 33 is formed in a long sideways rib state of expansion size B being same as thickness size T of the hub-lock structure in the inner plane of the upper case 1a. An evasion plane 34 evading collision with the tape winding layer 2a is formed at a side end corner part of the regulating body 33.
