PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To copy a part of data on a recording medium mounted on a reproducing device to a recording part inside the reproducing device so as to reproduce it in synchronization. SOLUTION: In an optical disk 11, for example, a Clip 1 including an AV Stream referred to by a PlayItem indicating a main path and a Clip 2 including a SubAV Stream referred to by a SubPlayItem indicating a sub-path, are recorded in advance. In the reproducing device, the Clip 2 recorded in the optical disk 11 is copied in a local storage 24 in advance and the SubPlayitem does not refer to the Clip 2 in the optical disk 11 but refers to the Clip 2 in the local storage 24 and reads it.
