PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent back flow of a medal even without using a complicated mechanism in a case with a large return load. SOLUTION: The coin discharge device comprises a hopper provided on a base for storing medals; a disk supported rotatably on the base surface of the hopper bottom part, and having a plurality of medal capturing holes in the circumferential direction around a rotating axis; and a push-out member 30 for pushing a medal M on the base surface captured by the metal capture hole by rotation of the disk to a discharge port, the member being provided on the reverse side of the disk. The device further comprises a back flow prevention means having a retention part 32 for retaining the rear end of the medal M, which is disposed on the base surface adjacent to the rear end of the medal M pushed to the top arrival position of the discharge port by the push-out member 30 advanceably/retreatably and an obtuse angle inclined surface to the base surface is formed on the upstream side of the medal advancing direction of the retention part 32A.
