PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket which can show a stable sealing performance, and also can reduce a resilient force in mounting it. SOLUTION: The gasket 1 is mounted in a mounting groove 201 provided on one member 200 among two members 200, 300, and also seals the gap between the two members 200, 300 by being compressed by means of the two members 200, 300. In this case, the portion of the gasket 1 on the high-pressure side (H) is formed so as to be furthermore easily compressed than the portion on the low-pressure side (L). A side surface 13 is tilted so that the central portion of the gasket body is bent so as to project toward the low-pressure side (L) when the gasket is compressed by means of the two members 200, 300.
