PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit variation of spring force of a garter spring acting in each sprag. SOLUTION: In a one way clutch provided with an inner ring including an outer circumference cylinder surface, an outer ring 1 including an inner circumference cylinder surface arranged concentrically with the inner ring and opposing to the outer circumference cylinder surface and including side walls 1a, 1b on both ends in an axial direction, a plurality of sprags 2 provided between the outer circumference cylinder surface and the inner circumference cylinder surface, and a garter spring 3 energizing each sprag 2 in an engagement direction and energizing each sprag 2 in an axial direction between one side wall 1a of the outer ring 1 and axial direction one end part 2a of each sprag 2, a guide part 15 which consists of whole circumference projection retaining the garter spring 3 concentrically with the inner ring and the outer ring 1 by abutting on the garter spring 3 is provided on one side wall 1a of the outer sing 1. The garter spring 3 is retained concentrically with a raceway circle of the inner and the outer ring by a guide part 15 and variation of spring force acting on each sprag 2 can be inhibited.
