PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall surface structure improving work efficiency with easy positioning in fixing a panel. SOLUTION: This wall surface structure arranged at a wall surface comprises an engaging shape formed in long-sized shape and having at least one insert-fitting groove extending in a longitudinal direction; a base adjacent to the engaging shape; a wall panel having a decorative board and an insert-fitting part projected from the back face of the decorative board and slidably fitted to the insert-fitting groove; and a fixing mechanism for fixing the base and the wall panel. The fixing mechanism comprises a projecting implement projected from the back face of the decorative board, and a fitting implement provided at the base to fit the projecting part thereto. The fitting implement comprises a storage part embedded in the base and formed with an opening exposed from the surface of the base to allow the projecting implement to enter, and a flange extending along the surface of the base from the peripheral edge of the opening.
