PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously producing a copolyester in the presence of a phosphorus compound, wherein a glycol distilled in the production process of the copolyester is recovered, circulated and reused by economically advantageous method, without deteriorating the quality of the resulting copolyester. SOLUTION: This method for continuously producing the copolyester in the presence of a phosphorus compound uses an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and two or more kinds of glycols as raw materials, where a distillate (A) distilled from the reaction vessel before adding the phosphorus compound and a distillate (B) distilled from the reaction vessel added with the phosphorus compound and from the reaction vessel thereafter are partitioned and separately fractionated, to thereby recover, circulate and reuse the glycols.
