PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breast image processing method, which can symmetrically arrange images of right and left mammae captured by a digital mamma photographing technique by automatically adjusting heights of nipple positions (tips). SOLUTION: The method includes a step to search each tip position from a left mamma image and a right mamma image, and a mamma image arrangement step to arrange the left mamma image and the right mamma image so that the tip positions of the left mamma image and of the right mamma image could be located in a transverse line based on the searched tip positions, which allows nipple tips to be on a level and eliminates a disadvantage that doctors should manually adjust the heights of the mammae so as to be symmetry for removing unnecessary parts by a preprocessing or the like on their interpretation. The method also includes a step to synthesize the left and right images into an image by stitching the symmetrical images, which allows image printing including of photographing the symmetrical mammae in a film for saving films.
