The adjusting device (1) has a positioning element (2) for the positioning of a wheel arrangement (3) of the traction mechanism drive relative to a framework arrangement (4). A threaded rod (5) is provided, which is connected torque proof with the positioning element. A nut arrangement (7) is swiveling fixed and oriented in axial direction (9) of the threaded rod in both directions being fixed at a guide element (10). The guide element is provided for fixed connection with the framework arrangement. An independent claim is also included for a traction mechanism drive e.g. chain drive, belt drive with a wheel arrangement, a framework arrangement and an adjusting device.
