An endless chain conveyer 4 for conveying cylindrical workpieces 1 of non-magnetic non- ferrous metal through the cylindrical interior of an induction coil heater 2 comprises longitudinal trough elements 7 and transverse partition webs 8 welded to the chain to form compartments for the workpieces to prevent shifting thereof as they pass through the coil. Liquid cooled tubes 9 pass axially through the coil and slidably guide the trough elements 7 from each side. The trough elements 7 and partitions 8 may be replaced by pins or the like mounted on a sheet metal endless band.</p> |
