RETAINING WALL HAVING ECO-BLOCKS AND CONSTRUCTING METHOD THEREOF

A retaining wall structure using vegetation blocks and a contructing method thereof are provided to obtain large resistance force against the soil pressure of the rear soil, and to increase stability of the retaining wall by supporting the blocks through tension reinforcements. A vegetation block(1) comprises a front plate(11), a rear plate(12), a side plate, and a filling part(14) in which soil is filled for plants. The upper surface of the soil filled in the filling part is exposed to grow plants. Tension reinforcements(20) are installed on the slopes. The head parts of the tension reinforcements pass through holes(15) formed on the rear plate of the vegetation block, and fixed to the rear plate. The tension reinforcements are inclined to the direction having a downward angle for the horizontality and installed on the slopes. The inner surface of the rear plate is inclined to have a vertical angle for the tension reinforcements. The front plate is formed to be inclined.
