The structure has a middle seat cross beam (4) including lateral fastening sections. Two lateral seat cross beams (15) are connected with the associated lateral fastening section of the middle seat cross beam. The beams (15) extend in a vehicle cross direction of the fastening section of the beam (4) upto an effective connection with a side door sill section (22) of the vehicle. The beams (4, 15) are provided in a symmetrical arrangement for a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The beam (4) includes reinforcing ribs that run in a longitudinal and transverse direction within a profile.
