New animal lick and method of preparing it

A milk lick in the form of a block comprises dried milk solids (e.g. skimmed milk powder, buttermilk powder and whey powder) and 1 to 25% by weight of edible fats (e.g. animal fats). The milk lick may contain predigested carbohydrates wherein starches have been converted to sugar and/or dextrines, vitamins and minerals. The block may be in the form of a cylinder with a hole extending axially therethrough. The block may be formed by subjecting a mixture of the above mentioned substances and water to compression moulding.
