In a stored-programme computer, the first instruction of each sub-routine has an associated suffix mark, selection of a transfer instruction priming error indicating means which then operates unless the next instruction accessed possesses the suffix mark. In response to a transfer instruction, the instruction decoder sets a flip-flop to enable an AND gate, and pulses a delay. If the next instruction has the suffix mark the flip-flop is reset before the delay delivers an output. Otherwise this output passes through the AND gate to indicate error. |
