摘要 Acrylonitrile is prepared by reacting at an elevated temperature in the vapour phase propylene, molecular oxygen, and ammonia over an oxide composition comprising antimony, uranium, oxygen and a polyvalent metal of atomic number 22 to 41, 44 to 49, 73, 77 to 83, or 90 as catalyst. The polyvalent metal is preferably Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ge, Zr, In, Ta, Tl or Pb. Examples are given in which the polyvalent metal is (a) copper, (b) iron, and (c) titanium. Acrolein is obtained as a by-product.ALSO:Catalysts for the reaction of propylene with ammonia and molecular oxygen (see Division C2) are oxide compositions comprising antimony, uranium, oxygen, and a polyvalent metal of atomic number 22-41, 44-49, 73, 77-83, or 90, many such metals being specified. Examples describe the preparation of catalysts in which the polyvalent metal is (1) copper, (2) iron, and (3) titanium.
