<p>The truck has a vehicle-data bus, and electronic units attached to the data bus, where the electronic units transmit or receive telegrams over the data bus. A transmitting and receiving unit detects data of a transponder arranged in a transmitting and receiving area of the transmitting and receiving unit. The transmitting and receiving unit has an interface for direct connection with the data bus and evaluates the telegrams, where the transmitting and receiving unit is a radio frequency identification transmitting and receiving unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an industrial truck.</p>
