A wireless communication system, a wireless communication method, a portable wireless communication apparatus, and a portable wireless communication method are provided to reduce the time of authentication by performing authentication through initial communication because a priority of communication between any portable electro-keys is not determined in the initial authentication communication. A wireless communication system includes the steps of: transmitting a request to perform authentication(S31); transmitting verification information to verify the existence of other portable wireless communication apparatuses receiving the request(S32); transmitting an answer corresponding to the request to a fixing wireless communication apparatus when receiving only the self verification information; transmitting the answer corresponding to the request to the fixing wireless communication apparatus method when the response delay time elapses by setting response delay time on the basis of a predetermined set when receiving the self verification information and the verification information of the other portable wireless communication apparatuses(S35); performing the authentication of the portable wireless communication apparatus transmitting the answer when receiving the answer from at least one apparatus among more than one portable wireless communication apparatus receiving the request.
