An adhesive composition and a preparation method thereof are provided to ensure substantially reduced coagulation occurrence and excellent viscosity and pH stability. An adhesive composition comprises an aqueous emulsion containing an ethylene-vinyl ester-based copolymer(A), an aqueous emulsion containing polyurethane(B), and at least one selected from the group consisting of polyoxyethylene alkyl ether(C) and a concentrated polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene compound(D). In the adhesive composition, the weight ratio of (A)/(B) in solids is 52/38-98.5/1.5, total weight of solids in (C) and (D) is 0.05-0.75 parts by weight per the total 100 parts by weight of (A) and (B). The adhesive composition has pH of 4-7. |
