An anode and a battery including the same is provided to ensure conductivity even though a ratio of a binder is reduced, to improve capacity and cycle property, and to obtain a network with highly conductivity at an anode active material layer. An anode(22) includes an anode current collector(22A) and an anode active material layer(22B) provided on the anode current collector, wherein the anode active material layer comprises an anode active material, a binder and at least one member selected from the group consisting of nickel(Ni), iron(Fe), a nickel compound and an iron compound, and the content of the binder in the anode active material layer ranges from 0.5 wt% to 5.0 wt%. In a battery, a cathode(21) and the anode comprising the anode active material, the binder and at least the one member, face each other with a separator(23) and an electrolyte(24) in between. |
