An Illumination unit in which a lighting lamp and a lighting tool are formed in one body is provided to suppress a dark zone by coupling an electrode, which is arranged inside an auxiliary tube, with an inner portion of a housing. A lighting lamp includes a tube(101) and two auxiliary tubes(107). The auxiliary tubes are integrated with both ends of the tube. An electrode(103) is fixed in the auxiliary tubes. A pair of connection pins(105) are formed on an outer surface of the auxiliary tubes. A lighting tool includes a bottom plate(301) and a housing(307). The auxiliary tubes are fixed at both ends of the housing by using a holder(303). The housing is coupled with the bottom plate using a coupler. A controller includes a power connection terminal, a connection terminal, a board(505), an electronic ballast(507), and various lines. The board is electrically connected to the power connection terminal and the connection terminal. The electronic ballast is mounted on the board and includes a resistor, a condenser and a transformer.
