An apparatus and a method for adjusting a color are provided to output the same result value with respect to the same input value when a color is adjusted so that a problem of outputting undesired result values according to color values is solved. An apparatus for adjusting a color includes the first color adjusting module(210), a clipping module(220), and the second color adjusting module(230). The first color adjusting module(210) applies preset hue values to color difference signals having an n-bit image such that color difference signals primarily having adjusted colors are output. The clipping module(220) outputs the color difference signals output from the first color adjusting module as color difference signals clipped within the preset range. The second color adjusting module(230) outputs a color difference signal having secondarily adjusted colors by using the correlation between the color difference signal of the first color adjusting module(210) and the color difference signal of the clipping module(220) if any one of the color difference signal belongs in the preset range except for border values of the range.
