A gas heater and a dryer having the same are provided to reduce generation of noxious gas and improve energy efficiency by re-burning noxious gas generated by an incomplete combustion, and supply thermal energy into a drum by using inexpensive gas. A gas heater includes a cabinet; a gas pipe(130) arranged at one side of the cabinet so as to supply gas into the cabinet; a nozzle(140) arranged in the gas pipe; a valve(150) arranged at one side of the gas pipe; a mixing pipe(120) arranged at one side of the nozzle so as to mix gas and air; a spark plug(170) arranged outside the mixing pipe; a guide pipe arranged outside the mixing pipe so as to guide heated air into a predetermined space; and a mixing unit(300) arranged in the guide pipe so as to generate vortex flow in air flowing along the guide pipe.
