A display substrate and a method of fabricating the same are provided to improve the reliability of a fabrication process by preventing metal molecules of a metal layer from diffusing into a substrate including silicon and effectively coupling the substrate including silicon to the metal layer using a SAM (Self-Assembled Monolayer). A first SAM(120) including A-(CH2)n-B is formed on a base substrate(110). Gate lines are formed on the first SAM. The gate lines include a metal layer formed of silver(Ag) or an alloy including silver. Source lines intersect the gate lines and include a second SAM(160) including A-(CH2)n-B and the metal layer. A plurality of pixel regions are defined by the gate lines and the source lines, and a pixel electrode(PE) is formed in each of the pixel regions. A switching device is formed in each of the pixel regions and includes a gate electrode(G) connected to the gate line, a source electrode(S) connected to the source line, and a drain electrode(D) electrically connected to the pixel electrode. |
