The invention relates to an extremely simple and low-cost method for binding the dioxins contained in the flue gases emitted during combustion or pyrolysis of organic chlorinated compounds contained in the urban garbage, the concentrates of liquid waste and in many other disposable items, among them automobile tires. The method is based on the property of some water-insoluble organic substances,such as animal or plant fat and derivatives thereof, to dissolve the dioxins and provides the transfer of the flue gases through specially configured devices, in which the organic dioxin solvent has an adequately large surface exposed to the flow of flue gases, the solvent being on or in a suitable solid or liquid substance. The same invention comprises low-cost methods and devices, which provide the continuous effectiveness of the proposed method, by reducing the quantity of the produced soot and the early binding of the flying ash, which otherwise inactivate the organic dioxin solvent upon deposition on its surface. |
