A display panel testing apparatus for a lighting test and a loading method of a display panel are provided to reduce test time and increase spatial efficiency by mounting a rotatable carrier on a rear surface of a work table and directly loading a plurality of display panels. A carrier(10) is mounted at a rear surface of a work table for directly loading of a display panel(40) from a robot arm, and is rotatable for loading of a plurality of panels. A horizontal support shaft(20) is mounted at a side surface of a testing device and supports the carrier. The horizontal support shaft and a backlight unit are integrally mounted. The carrier includes a rotatable body(11) rotatably coupled to the horizontal support shaft, a plurality of support members(12) connected to the rotatable body, and a plurality of plates(13) loading a display panel at another end of each support member.
