A polyurethane polymer and a photoimageable composition containing the same are provided to be capable of being used as a photoresist in process for producing printed circuit boards. A polyurethane polymer having a bisphenol group is represented by the formula (I), wherein R1 is hydrogen or methyl, R2 is a C2-4 alkoxy, R3 is a C3-10 lactone, R4 is a C1-20 alkylene, alkenylene, alkynylene, cycloalkylene or arylene ring group, R5 is a C2-4 alkyleneoxy, R6 is hydrogen or a C1-10 alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl or an aromatic ring group, n is an integer not less than 1, a is an integer of 1-10, b is an integer of 0-20, and c is an integer of 0-10. A photoimageable composition comprises (A) the polyurethane polymer of the formula (I), (B) a polymerizable binder, and (C) a photoinitiator. |
