摘要 A hydrodynamic bearing with an additional reservoir is provided to supply a constant quantity of fluid into a hydrodynamic space and to manage the surface of the fluid easily. A hydrodynamic bearing(200) with an additional reservoir comprises a rotating member(210), a ring-type fixing member(220), a ring-type housing(230), a supporting member(240), and a spacer(250). The ring-type fixing member is combined with a side surface of the rotating member along the radial direction. The ring-type housing is formed with a hollow portion receiving the fixing member, and a cover(232) covering an upper surface of the fixing member. The supporting member is combined with a lower end of the hollow portion of the housing to support a lower part of the rotating member. The spacer is interposed between the upper surface of the fixing member and the cover and formed with a reservoir(262) having a taper section between with the cover. A hydrodynamic space(260) is formed along the side surface and the lower part of the rotating member. The rotating member is supported by a hydrodynamic operation inside the hydrodynamic space in a non-contact manner. The additional reservoir(264) connecting the hydrodynamic space and the reservoir through the lower surface of the fixing member is formed at one side of the fixing member.
