CERTIFICATE SYSTEM AND CERTIFICATE METHOD OF WIRELESS

A system and a method of authentication in a wireless network are provided to minimize a time delay required for RSA(Rivest Shamir Adlemen) encoding by allowing a terminal to generate a certificate. A method of authentication in a wireless network includes the steps of: checking a base station public key by a base station certificate which is included in an authentication request message when receiving the authentication request message from a base station(614); generating a PAK(Primary Authorization Key) for the authentication of the base station(616); generating a symmetrical key which integrates the generated PAK and a terminal certificate(618); encrypting the symmetrical key by the checked base station public key(620); and transmitting the symmetrical key, and the PAK and the terminal certificate which are integrated by the symmetrical key to the base station through an authentication response message(622).
