A substitute for ruminant roughage is provided to improve a staying tool to be manufactured easily, and not only to stimulate the villus protrusions of the ruminant but also to achieve nutritive elements for the ruminant. A substitute for ruminant roughage includes a capsule(110), and a staying tool(120). The capsule is dissolved inside a stomach of the ruminant. The staying tool comprises a body(121) and plural stimulating brushes(122) formed on the body radially. The staying tool is built in the capsule, stays inside the stomach of the ruminant and stimulates the inside of the stomach of the ruminant. The body of the staying tool is made by insert-injecting the stimulating brushes. The body of the staying tool is made in a spherical shape, and plural bodies of the staying tools are built in the capsule.
