An optical pickup device is provided to keep performance of an optical system which is sensitive to heat and to increase the life span of the optical system. An optical pickup device(100) comprises an actuator(110) and a circuit board(120). The actuator moves an object lens. The circuit board includes a laser diode drive(121) to drive a predetermined laser diode. The laser diode drive is formed except the moving area of the actuator. The actuator includes a lens holder(112) to support the object lens. The moving area of the actuator is included in a moving range of the lens holder. The circuit board has a radiating plate. The radiating plate radiates heat of the laser diode drive.
