A storage structure and a storing method for storing guide word information used in a search engine in a DB(Database) with its search speed maintained are provided to have no need to a separate manager for the search engine because an existing system manager can easily perform maintenance and repair by generating a guide word in the DB and managing it. A storage structure is composed of three tables of an integrated document information table(1), a document information table(2), an inverted file table(3) for storing guide word information while maintaining inverted file information. The integrated document information table is composed of a collection ID(Identification), a collection name, a number of total registered documents, and a length of total registered documents(or words). The document information table is composed of an inner document ID, an outer document ID, a title, a summary, a connection URL(Uniform Resource Locator), a collective string of analyzed words, and fields constructing a list of other search results. The inverted file table is composed of a word ID, an analyzed word, a frequency in a document, and an inverted file and has the maximum length supported by a DBMS(Database Management System) as a character field.
