<p>A method for processing packet retransmission in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for the same are provided to increase the transmission efficiency of an HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) process and data throughput by immediately retransmitting lost packets. A method for processing packet retransmission in a wireless communication system includes the steps of: activating a HARQ process(302); and retransmitting a packet after setting a sequence number of the packet as a second value and marking the packet with a new packet when not receiving a verification signal corresponding to the packet even though the retransmission number of a packet having the same sequence number as a first value reaches a predetermined maximum transmission number(304). The method for processing the packet retransmission in the wireless communication system further includes the steps of collecting statistics of the transmission number of the packet by a counter.</p> |
