A system and a method for automatically renting out a DVD by recognizing position information of a customer are provided to enable an automatic rental device to recognize the position information of the customer in association with an LBS(Location-Based Service) and guiding reservation of the DVD contents to the mobile terminal of the customer. A computer system includes an Internet communicator(820) for enabling the customer to select, rent out, and pay for the DVD contents through an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) display part(830) and a touch screen input part(840). An automatic controller is electrically connected to the automatic rental device to automatically transfer the DVD contents kept inside the automatic rental device to the outside. A credit card reader is installed for processing the payment of the DVD contents. An RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag/reader automatically recognizes the DVD contents. The computer system includes a close customer position information determiner(880), a reservation receiving/processing part(900), a content transmitter(890), and a DVD content database(940). |
