An ATM capable of printing an image on a receipt and a method thereof are provided to print image data on the receipt in addition to a text by scanning a customer card and storing the image data of the customer card in a hard disk without printing the image data on the receipt. A CRP(Card Receipt Printer)(200) arranges/prints transaction details changed in each banking transaction, a fixed image, and a scanning image of the inserted customer card. A file converter(220) converts a file format of the scanning image and the transaction details. A card image storing part(230) stores the converted scanning image. A controller(210) periodically transmits the scanning image of the card image storing part to a host and controls each component. The CRP includes a font storing part(201), an image storing part(202) storing the fixed image, a card scanner(203), a temporary storing part(204) temporarily storing the scanning image of the card scanner, a receipt editor(205) editing the transaction details, the fixed image, and the scanning image, and a printing part(206). The fixed image includes a logo and a guide sentence of a bank, and the scanning image includes a card number, expiration, and a customer name. |
