OPTIMAL DESIGN METHOD OF LINEAR MOTOR

A method of manufacturing a linear motor is provided to minimize the difference of a current supplied to the linear motor by optimizing a shape of teeth in the linear motor. A linear motor includes a slot(110). A first depth(111) of the slot at a center operation(112) thereof is deeper than a second depth at both ends portions(113) thereof. The second depth of the slot at both end portions is maintained to be greater than half of the first depth at the center portion of the slot. An edge effect is minimized at the slot by controlling the depth of the slot at both ends. An abrupt variation of a magnetic flux at both ends of the slot is reduced by optimizing a shape of the slot. A static edge effect is decreased by adjusting the second depth of the slot at both ends thereof.
