A method and a system for integrally managing charged contents based on the network are provided to enable a user to conveniently use the charged contents and enable a CP(Content Provider) to conveniently manage the contents according to various operation tools for using the contents within a proper range. A purchased content database(14) stores the contents purchased from a content database(10) by a member in a member database(12). An operation window includes a list display part displaying the purchased contents stored in the purchased content database, and forms a playback mode operating a stream mode player(22), a download mode storing the contents to a computer including a browser, and a player transfer mode transferring the purchased contents to a portable player from the purchased content database through the browser. A system interface(30) recognizes DRM(Digital Rights Management) and a storage space of the player connected to the browser. A DRM(Digital Rights Management) converter(32) converts the DRM of the contents selected from the content database into the DRM requested from the player and transfers the converted DRM to the player through the system interface.
