A washing platform has a raised centrally located work surface radially surrounded by a trough to collect fluid running off the work surface, the trough having a drain opening therein and having an upwardly facing bottom surface with at least one rib extending longitudinally along the trough, and a couple suitable to link the drain to a building waste disposal system.
