A facing plate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form metallic texture such as hairline patterns on a resin base plate perfectly by printing, to reduce the cost by making a manufacturing process easy, and to prevent scratches or pollution by preventing a print layer from being exposed outside. A facing plate attached on an article to express patterns and words is composed of a transparent or semi-transparent base plate(1) and a print layer(2) having the patterns and/or words on the surface attached on the base plate. The print layer comprises plural layers(21,24,25) including hairline pattern layers(22,23) patterned with hairline patterns. The hairline pattern layer is formed by overlapping plural layers having the hairline patterns. The base plate is made of resin.
